Terms of Service
Knook & Knots
Last updated: 18 October 2026
Overview
Welcome to Knook & Knots!
Throughout these Terms of Service, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Knook & Knots.
Knook & Knots operates the website https://knookandknots.co.uk, offering handmade crochet flowers, bouquets, gifts, accessories and related products.
Our online store is powered by Shopify, which provides the e-commerce platform through which we offer our products and services.
These Terms of Service explain your rights and responsibilities when browsing our website, using our services or purchasing our products.
By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms of Service, subject to applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts statutory consumer rights that cannot legally be limited.
1. Access and Account
Customers may browse our website without creating an account unless a particular feature requires one.
Customers placing orders must be at least 18 years old or have appropriate permission from a parent or legal guardian who is responsible for the purchase.
When placing an order, you agree to provide accurate, complete and up-to-date information.
If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and notifying us of suspected unauthorised access.
We may restrict account access where reasonably necessary to prevent fraud, unlawful activity or security threats.
2. Our Products
Knook & Knots specialises in handmade crochet products, including flowers, bouquets, gifts and accessories.
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, dimensions, colours and other information accurately represent the items offered.
Because our products are handmade, slight variations in stitching, shape, size and appearance may occur.
Colours may also appear differently depending on screen settings.
These variations do not remove your right to receive goods that are of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described.
We may update or discontinue products and change availability, but this will not remove rights arising from orders already accepted.
3. Orders
When you place an order, you make an offer to purchase the selected products at the total price displayed during checkout.
We will acknowledge receipt of your order electronically. An order is accepted when we expressly confirm acceptance or dispatch the goods, whichever occurs first.
We may decline an order for legitimate reasons, including stock unavailability, suspected fraud or an obvious pricing error.
If payment has been collected for an order we cannot fulfil, we will provide an appropriate refund.
Customers should check product details, quantities, delivery addresses and personalisation instructions before completing checkout.
If you wish to amend or cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible.
Cancellation requests will be handled in accordance with our Refund Policy and applicable consumer law.
For qualifying online purchases, UK consumers generally have 14 days after receiving their goods to cancel without giving a reason, followed by a further 14 days to return the goods.
Goods made to a customer’s specifications or clearly personalised may be exempt from the statutory change-of-mind cancellation right.
An item is not automatically exempt simply because it is handmade or made after an order is placed.
Your rights concerning faulty, damaged or incorrectly described goods remain unaffected.
4. Prices and Billing
Prices on our website are displayed in British pounds sterling (GBP), unless another currency is expressly indicated.
Prices include applicable VAT where required by law.
Delivery charges and other mandatory charges payable to us will be shown before checkout is completed.
We may change prices, promotions and discounts at any time, but changes will not ordinarily affect orders already accepted.
International orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes and other charges, as explained at checkout and in our Shipping Policy.
Customers must provide accurate billing information and be authorised to use their selected payment method.
Payments are processed through the payment providers available at checkout.
5. Shipping and Delivery
Knook & Knots aims to process and dispatch standard orders within 1–3 working days, excluding weekends and UK bank holidays.
Personalised or complex handmade orders may require additional preparation time. Where applicable, this will be communicated to customers.
We offer free UK standard shipping on eligible orders over £10.
For UK orders of £10 or less, applicable shipping charges will be displayed at checkout.
Delivery times are estimates unless a specific delivery date has been expressly agreed.
We will take reasonable steps to deliver goods within the agreed timeframe and comply with applicable consumer delivery rights.
Knook & Knots remains responsible for goods until they are delivered into the physical possession of the customer or a person identified by the customer, except where the customer independently arranges a carrier not offered by us and the law provides otherwise.
If an order is lost, damaged or significantly delayed during delivery, please contact us so we can investigate and provide any remedy required by law.
International shipping may be available to selected destinations. Customers may be responsible for applicable import duties, customs charges and taxes unless otherwise stated at checkout.
Further information is available in our Shipping Policy.
6. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise indicated, original photographs, written content, branding, logos and other intellectual property displayed on the Knook & Knots website belong to us or are used with appropriate permission.
Our original crochet designs and creative materials may be protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Customers may browse our website and use its content for lawful personal purposes.
You must not reproduce, distribute or commercially exploit our protected content without permission, except where permitted by law.
Purchasing a physical product does not automatically transfer intellectual property rights associated with its design.
Shopify and other third-party trademarks and content remain the property of their respective owners.
7. Optional Tools
Our website may provide access to third-party tools, including payment services, delivery tracking and other shopping-related features.
These services may be subject to additional terms and privacy policies.
We aim to use appropriate service providers but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability of every external service.
Nothing in this section excludes our legal responsibilities or customers’ statutory rights.
8. Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to external websites, social media platforms and services operated by third parties.
We do not control the content, security or privacy practices of independent third-party websites.
Customers should review the relevant terms and privacy policies before using external services.
Where customers purchase goods or services directly from an independent third party, that provider’s terms may apply.
Nothing in this section excludes any responsibility Knook & Knots has under applicable law.
9. Relationship with Shopify
Our online store is powered by Shopify, which provides technology used to operate our website and support shopping transactions.
Products purchased directly from Knook & Knots are sold by Knook & Knots, not Shopify.
Knook & Knots is responsible for fulfilling its obligations as the seller, including applicable product quality, delivery, refund and consumer protection requirements.
Shopify may process customer information in accordance with its applicable privacy terms and legal obligations.
Nothing in this section removes any legal rights or remedies customers may have.
10. Privacy Policy
Knook & Knots respects customer privacy and handles personal information in accordance with applicable UK data protection laws, including the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
We may collect information such as names, email addresses, delivery addresses, billing details, telephone numbers and order information.
We use personal information where necessary to process orders, arrange deliveries, respond to enquiries, prevent fraud, operate our business and comply with legal obligations.
We may share necessary information with Shopify, payment processors, delivery companies and other relevant service providers.
Marketing communications will be sent only where permitted by law. Customers may opt out where applicable.
Our separate Privacy Policy explains our data processing practices, cookies, legal bases, retention periods, international transfers and customer rights in greater detail.
For privacy-related enquiries, contact knookandknots@gmail.com.
11. Feedback
We welcome genuine customer reviews, suggestions and feedback.
By submitting content intended for publication, you grant Knook & Knots a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to reproduce and display that content for relevant business purposes, including customer reviews and promotion.
You retain ownership of your original content.
We will handle personal information and private customer photographs in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
Customers must not submit fraudulent, unlawful, abusive or misleading content or material that infringes another person’s rights.
We may moderate or remove content where reasonably necessary and lawful.
We will not knowingly publish fake reviews or misleading testimonials.
12. Errors, Inaccuracies and Omissions
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that information on our website is accurate and up to date.
Occasionally, product descriptions, prices, promotions, availability or delivery information may contain errors.
We may correct mistakes and update website information when necessary.
If we discover a significant error before accepting an order, we may contact the customer to confirm whether they wish to proceed on corrected terms.
If we cannot fulfil an order, we will notify the customer and provide any refund required by law.
Nothing in this section limits customers’ rights where goods are faulty, not as described or otherwise fail to meet legal requirements.
13. Prohibited Uses
Customers and visitors must use our website lawfully and responsibly.
You must not:
- Use our website for fraudulent, unlawful or misleading activities.
- Provide false payment or identity information.
- Attempt unauthorised access to accounts or systems.
- Upload viruses, malware or harmful software.
- Misuse personal information belonging to others.
- Submit fraudulent reviews, spam or abusive content.
- Infringe intellectual property rights.
- Interfere with website security or normal operations.
- Use automated tools in ways that unlawfully access or disrupt our systems.
- Impersonate another individual or organisation.
We may reasonably restrict access where necessary to protect our business, customers or website.
Any restrictions will be applied in accordance with applicable law.
14. Agents and Automated Tools
Automated software, artificial intelligence agents, search engine crawlers and similar tools may interact with our website where permitted.
Such tools must operate lawfully and must not compromise website security, customer privacy or normal functionality.
Automated systems must not conduct fraudulent transactions, bypass security controls, unlawfully collect personal information or interfere with our services.
We may restrict or block automated access where reasonably necessary.
Nothing in this section prohibits legitimate search engine indexing or other lawful activity.
15. Termination
We may suspend, restrict or terminate access to our website or customer accounts where reasonably necessary because of fraud, serious misuse, unlawful conduct or security concerns.
Where appropriate, we will provide reasonable notice.
Termination of website access does not automatically cancel an accepted order.
Outstanding orders, payments, returns and refunds will be handled in accordance with our policies and applicable law.
Any obligations that reasonably need to continue after termination will remain effective to the extent permitted by law.
Customers’ statutory rights remain unaffected.
16. Disclaimer of Warranties
We aim to provide carefully made, accurately described handmade products.
Minor variations naturally associated with handmade products may occur, provided the goods remain consistent with their descriptions and applicable quality requirements.
Although we take reasonable steps to maintain our website, we cannot guarantee that it will always be uninterrupted or free from technical errors.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose where applicable, and as described.
Where goods fail to meet these requirements, customers may be entitled to a repair, replacement, refund or other legal remedy.
Any disclaimer applies only to the extent permitted by law.
17. Limitation of Liability
Knook & Knots is responsible for losses that are a foreseeable consequence of our breach of contract or failure to use reasonable care and skill, as required by applicable law.
We are not generally responsible for losses that are not reasonably foreseeable or for business losses arising from purchases made by consumers for personal use.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for:
- Death or personal injury caused by negligence.
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
- Breach of statutory consumer rights.
- Any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
We remain responsible for delivery and product-related obligations imposed by applicable consumer law.
18. Indemnification
Customers must use our website lawfully and comply with these Terms.
Where permitted by law, customers may be responsible for reasonable losses directly caused by their fraudulent or unlawful conduct, where they are legally liable for those losses.
Customers will not be required to compensate Knook & Knots for losses caused by our own negligence, breach of contract or unlawful conduct.
Nothing in this section removes or restricts statutory consumer rights.
19. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be ineffective only to the extent necessary.
The remaining provisions will continue to apply where legally permitted.
Customers’ statutory rights will take priority over any conflicting contractual provision.
20. Waiver; Entire Agreement
These Terms of Service, together with our applicable store policies and information agreed during checkout, form the contractual agreement between Knook & Knots and the customer.
If we do not enforce a particular term on one occasion, this does not automatically prevent us from enforcing it in the future.
Nothing in these Terms overrides mandatory information provided during the ordering process or rights protected by consumer law.
Any unfair or unenforceable contractual term will not bind the customer.
21. Assignment
Knook & Knots may transfer its contractual rights and obligations in connection with a lawful sale, restructuring or transfer of the business.
Any such transfer must not reduce customers’ statutory rights.
Where legally required, affected customers will receive appropriate notice.
Customers may not transfer their contractual obligations without our consent, except where permitted by law.
Any transfer of personal information will comply with applicable data protection requirements.
22. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Consumers residing in Scotland, Northern Ireland or other countries retain any mandatory consumer protection rights applicable in their place of residence.
Customers may bring legal proceedings in courts available to them under applicable law.
We encourage customers to contact us first so that we can attempt to resolve concerns fairly.
Nothing in this section restricts legal rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
23. Translations
These Terms of Service are written in English and may be translated into other languages for customer convenience.
We aim to ensure that translations accurately reflect the English version.
If there is an inconsistency between versions, the English version will generally be used for interpretation, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Nothing in this section limits customers’ statutory rights or mandatory legal protections.
24. Headings
The headings and section titles in these Terms of Service are included for convenience and ease of reference.
They do not affect the interpretation or enforceability of the contractual provisions.
25. Electronic Communications
When you place an order or use our website, we may contact you electronically regarding your purchases and relevant service matters.
These communications may include order confirmations, payment receipts, dispatch updates, delivery information, returns, refunds and important account or policy notices.
We may contact you using the email address or other contact details you provide.
Marketing messages will be sent only where permitted by applicable law and will include an appropriate method of opting out when required.
Customers should ensure their contact information is accurate so that important order communications can be received.
Nothing in this section removes legal requirements concerning electronic communications or customer notices.
26. Changes to Terms of Service
The latest version of these Terms of Service will be available on our website.
Knook & Knots may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our business, services, policies or applicable laws.
Where required by law, we will provide appropriate notice of material changes.
Updated Terms will generally apply to orders placed after the relevant changes take effect.
Changes will not retrospectively remove or reduce rights relating to orders already accepted.
Customers are encouraged to review these Terms periodically.
Nothing in this section affects statutory consumer rights.
